With
the HP-2 WIKA introduces a new high-pressure transmitter that
can, for the first time, offer pressure ranges up to 15,000 bar
(previously 8,000 bar was the limit). At the same time, the long-term
stability and the load cycle stability has been further improved. With
the HP-2 the user gets precise results even at highest pressures, but
also gets a simultaneous reduction in running costs. Because of the
extremely good long-term stability the usually short calibration cycles
for high pressure ranges are stretched, and the downtime of the plant is
reduced accordingly. The high load cycle stability ensures a very long
service life of the unit. As a further feature, especially for highly
dynamic pressure profiles, WIKA has developed a special cavitation
protection, which leads to the long operating life of the HP-2 even in

infrarossi senza contatto, per il settore auto, Melexis lancia
sul mercato l’MLX90614xAC a campo visivo ristretto (FOV). Le versioni
attualmente in commercio del sensore di temperatura per termometro senza
contatto hanno un ampio campo visivo di 90° ed applicazioni nel
condizionamento dell’aria e nel riscaldamento di ambienti.
L’MLX90614xAC, che verrà lanciato a breve, ha un campo visivo di soli
35°. Grazie a questo termometro, i progettisti avranno la possibilità di
misurare oggetti più piccoli o di aumentare la distanza sensore-oggetto.
Il FOV di 35° è stato scelto come campo visivo minimo raggiungibile
senza dover utilizzare costosi componenti ottici a infrarossi, pur
ottenendo le eccellenti specifiche in termini di precisione
dell’originale MLX90614. Approfondimento: Il campo visivo di 35°
dell’MLX90614xAC è ottenuto aggiungendo un tubo metallico, con
limitazione dell’angolo di visualizzazione, all’alloggiamento standard
TO-39 dell’MLX90614. Effettuando la taratura del termometro dopo aver

manometer – an instrument that can perform all standard measuring jobs
at an exceptionally low price. As compared to its mechanical
predecessors, Keller’s digital technology offers high resolution and
excellent repeatabilty at very similar prices. The ECO 1’s dual display
updates twice every second, showing the measured value and the minimum
or maximum value attained. As a special feature, the ECO 1 has a Zero
Tare feature which allows the user to set the zero at any pressure, so
the manometer will then always show deviations from the Zero Tare value
as the actual value. The user-friendly two-key operating system provides
access to the entire range of functions: the stored MAX/MIN can be
erased and reset to zero, or the device can be switched to continuous
mode. In continuous operating mode, the battery has capacity for up to
1400 hours. The ECO 1 electronic manometer has a standard automatic
switch-off time of about 15 minutes after the last key was pressed, this

identificare il singolo codice su un componente l'azienda è riuscita a
creare la tracciabilità diretta nel corso del processo di produzione e

award its annual 10,000 € SENSOR Innovation Award on occasion of its

classroom air caused by poor ventilation or the lack of it. This has now
been confirmed by a study carried out at Bremen University under the
leadership of Dr. Gerhart Tiesler. The scientists measured the carbon
dioxide concentration during lessons in three different schools. Without
separate ventilation, the CO2 concentration in the classroom had a
detrimental effect on the pupils' work after just 20 minutes. As the CO2
content in the indoor air increased, the pupils became increasingly
inattentive and tired. CO2 values above the DIN 1946 guide value of
1,500 ppm resulted in slower processing of visual and audio stimuli. By
contrast, the pupils responded to additional airing with increased
attentiveness, lowered physical stress, reduced noise level and a more

technology with its Series 33 X and 35 X pressure transmitters. A
floating measurement cell, totally digital signal processing,
compensation with mathematical accuracy and a highly dynamic
microprocessor – these assets produce reference accuracies of up to 0,05
%FS error bandwidth. The floating piezoresistive sensor element is free
of outside influence from mechanical and thermal forces at the pressure
connection. The A/D converter in the signal processor operates with a
resolution of 16 bits (0,002 %FS), using the signals from the pressure
sensor and the integrated temperature sensor to calculate accurate
compensated measurement values in just a few milliseconds. The

representatives rate SENSOR+TEST 2008, which has just ended, a
complete success. Although the some 7,900 trade visitors over the last
three days just failed to reach the target number of visitors, the
exhibitors were mainly satisfied with the number and high quality of the
contacts made. The organizers of the parallel conferences also summed up
