With
the new CPG2500 precision pressure measuring instrument from the WIKA
Calibration Line, users can now have a high-end table-top instrument
that is both compact and high-accuracy. The model is available as a one-
or two-channel variant with a DKD-certified accuracy of 0.01%. The
CPG2500, which WIKA offers under the label of their renowned US daughter
Mensor, covers measuring ranges from 0 ... 25 mbar up to 0 ... 700 bar.
Thanks to its handy dimensions and diverse functions, such as min./max.
memory, pressure rate, tare and differential pressure measurement via
two sensors, this powerful and yet reasonably priced digital instrument
can be used in a wide variety of applications. For connection to IT

in Europe. The heat meter, like other measurement devices, is used for
the billing of goods or services (here heating costs) and thus is
subject to the legally binding metrology. In order to be able to be used
in commercial operations, the measurement device previously had to have
a model authorisation. In the required authorisation test, at first the
construction of the device was tested for compliance with the legal
requirements and for the measurement stability. After the measurement

With
the Series 22 S and 22 M, Keller AG für Druckmesstechnik,
Winterthur (Switzerland), has introduced a wide range of pressure
transmitters that are totally crevice-free after assembly. The brazing
technique that the company has developed has made the use of internal
O-ring seals obsolete for many applications. The parts that come into
contact with the media are made from stainless steel (AISI 316L) in the
Series 22 S transmitters. In the Series 22 M the steel piezoresistive
pressure measuring cell is brazed to the brass pressure connection using
a nickel diaphragm. Brazing in tunnel furnaces has considerable cost
advantages in comparison to the usual electron beam welding at measuring
ranges up to 250 bar. The Series 22 pressure transmitters are available

Special
sensors for optical distance measurement of direct reflecting materials
are now available from Micro-Epsilon. Designated as the optoNCDT
1700DR, this new series expands the manufacturer’s already extensive
sensor family. Three sensors with the measuring ranges of 2mm, 10mm and
20mm are designed specifically for use with polished metals, glass or
chrome-plated products. The high measuring rate of 2.5kHz and the
maximum resolution of 0.1µm make precise measurement of the desired
targets possible. The reflected laser beam is guided into the receiving
array by tilting the sensor and is then directly converted into an
electrical signal by the integrated controller. The design is identical
to the successful optoNCDT 1700 standard series. As well as the
integrated controller, the series also incorporates a foil keypad
directly on the sensor, whereby adjustments without configuration

fibra. I vantaggi degli ER ottici sono palesi. Per quanto riguarda la
vita a fatica raggiungono i 10 milioni di cicli di carico con una
deformazione alternata di ±3.000 µm/m. Ecco perché questi sensori sono
imbattibili in termini di durata ad esempio su materiali plastici
rinforzati in fibra in situazioni che prevedono elevate deformazioni
alternate. All’interno di una fibra di vetro possono essere applicati
più sensori, riducendo in questo modo il dispendio richiesto

technology portfolio for liquid flow sensor solutions. The microsensor
specialist has announced a new level of miniaturization for non-invasive
liquid flow sensors based on planar microfluidic substrates. Innovative
packaging enables Sensirion's highly sensitive thermal flow sensor
microchips to measure non-invasively through the wall of a flow channel
inside a microfluidic substrate (US Pat. 6813944). This design provides
unique sensitivity for liquid flow measurement and bubble detection in
the microliter range. The sensors are especially suitable for monitoring
flow rates and improving system performance in high-volume biomedical
applications and micro fuel cells. Non-invasive flow sensing is possible
