With
the HP-2 WIKA introduces a new high-pressure transmitter that
can, for the first time, offer pressure ranges up to 15,000 bar (previously
8,000 bar was the limit). At the same time, the long-term stability and
the load cycle stability has been further improved. With the HP-2 the
user gets precise results even at highest pressures, but also gets a
simultaneous reduction in running costs. Because of the extremely good
long-term stability the usually short calibration cycles for high
pressure ranges are stretched, and the downtime of the plant is reduced
accordingly. The high load cycle stability ensures a very long service
life of the unit. As a further feature, especially for highly dynamic
pressure profiles, WIKA has developed a special cavitation protection,

classroom air caused by poor ventilation or the lack of it. This has now
been confirmed by a study carried out at Bremen University under the
leadership of Dr. Gerhart Tiesler. The scientists measured the carbon
dioxide concentration during lessons in three different schools. Without
separate ventilation, the CO2 concentration in the classroom had a
detrimental effect on the pupils' work after just 20 minutes. As the CO2
content in the indoor air increased, the pupils became increasingly
inattentive and tired. CO2 values above the DIN 1946 guide value of
1,500 ppm resulted in slower processing of visual and audio stimuli. By
contrast, the pupils responded to additional airing with increased
attentiveness, lowered physical stress, reduced noise level and a more

concerned agreed again this year: Exhibitors, visitors and AMA
representatives rate SENSOR+TEST 2008, which has just ended, a
complete success. Although the some 7,900 trade visitors over the last
three days just failed to reach the target number of visitors, the
exhibitors were mainly satisfied with the number and high quality of the
contacts made. The organizers of the parallel conferences also summed up
positively. “We have established SENSOR+TEST as an event at which
visitors can expect distinctly more than at other classic exhibitions,”
says Holger Bödeker, Director of AMA Service GmbH: “The exhibitor forums,
Action Area and this year’s new Job Tea-Time offer platforms for lively
